WHAT ARE YOUR OTHER OPTIONS?

  • You can hire a local guide to walk you around, which is often more than 100€ an hour for a classic sightseeing tour. They will explain some of the monuments, but they do not help you to have an authentic experience in any way. You can see for yourself by using Google.

  • Buy a travel book for Palermo. This is full of tourist jargon and written by someone who is not a local. It was updated maybe every couple of years and typically costs somewhere between 15€ and 30€. Check it out on your own on Amazon, and you can also vet the writer of these guides.

  • Rely on the information you can find on the internet provided by other tourists who have visited, travel bloggers, and similar outlets. The only Italians that you can see in these forums on the internet are also tourists coming from some other part of the country.

  • You can rely on information you can acquire by speaking with the locals, but if your Italian is not very good, this conversation could be a challenge. Locals rarely speak English and they aren’t keen on sharing their knowledge on the internet.

  • You can read blog articles on our website. In addition to that being a time consuming process, our guide ‘The Sicilian Way’ is updated all the time. Blogs on our website might only get this once a year.

Frequently asked questions

Some of these FAQs should clear up any lingering doubts that you might have. If you still have your own questions after this, you can email us directly.

Do I have to pay for updates?

We give constant updates to the content in our video guide and add new videos, itineraries, lists for restaurants, and more. You get these all for free for life after your one-time cost. With our video guide being on the cloud, when we make updates and add new features, they automatically get loaded into your account.

Do I have to install anything?

Nope. We created our travel guide to prevent anyone from installing apps and software. It works with any device that can access the internet with a browser like Firefox, Safari, Google Chrome, Opera, and more. Just login with your credentials and everything is available to you.

Is my account limited to only one device?

No! You can access the guide from other devices as long as you log in with your email and password. You can access the guide from your computer and smartphone at the same times without paying for another account.

Does the guide work offline?

No, it doesn’t. Our guide works if you are connected to the internet through Wi-Fi or the mobile data on your device. The guide is constantly getting updated, so we cannot realistically provide a downloadable version. It only works through the internet browser of the devices you use.

What if I don’t have internet in Palermo?

There is going to be Wi-Fi at your accommodations, but there are also bars around the city offering Wi-Fi, or you can but a SIM card with a data package (highly recommended). You get tons of data with a price as low as 15€ for 30 days. Check out more information about that at this page

If I don’t like the video guide, how do I get a refund?

You just need to send an email to info@wearepalermo.com and say that you want a refund on your video travel guide. You don’t need to tell us why. You can also just write give me my money back in the subject, and expect your refund within 15 days. There is a time required by our bank to process refunds.

Is it safe paying with card?

Yes. All payments are processed by STRIPE, which is among the most popular and safest payment processors in the world. We never see your card information, all data stays encrypted by the STRIPE security system. You can learn more about this secure process here
